I've called on several occasions were I have had domestic violence in my home and nothing was done about it, also let a ex significant other take things out of the house that clearly didn't belong to him. These are the most slack / unprofessional /sorry individuals EVER!! IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY DONT CALL WELLFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT. I've even had a officer tell me to go down to the magistrate office to file what I needed to file & even told me that the form that was given by the magistrate was fake.. So obviously these departments have very little of communication to even know what the eviction (30 notice before court date is issued) form looks like. Officer told me I typed that form up myself. Get a grip wellford, serve a purpose, and do better!
This is my point of view with my recent dealings with this police dept. Its horrible. refusal to investigate a crime of theft over 5k. Then to top it off the thefts and break ins continued and the last time we reported it we were told we needed to stop calling them. The person we know responsible for these thefts has told mutual friends he did it and laughs that he won't be caught. Every night the house gets broke into and more damage or more things missing. We now fear for our lives as the new info we received is the person who committed the crimes intends on hurting us physically. Who are we supposed to call for protection when we need it? Are we supposed to wait until one of us is dead before they will stop this criminal? The worst part is he lives across the street and we fear going outside. How are we supposed to deal with this?
